WHAT ON EARTH CAN YOU DO ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS WE FACE?
HOW ON EARTH WILL MY DREAM EVER COME TRUE?
Mark Nepo from his book, FINDING INNER COURAGE, tells us this from page 71.
“….I offer the passionate insight of Martin Luther King Jr., who revealed an inextricable link between power and love:”
“Power properly understood is nothing but the ability to achieve purpose. And one of the great problems of history is that the concepts of love and power have usually been contrasted as opposites—polar opposites—so that love is indentified with a resignation of power, and power with a denial of love.
We’ve got to get this thing right. What is needed is a realization that power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love. It is precisely this collision of immoral power with powerless morality which constitutes the major crisis of our time.”
There is not much else to say about this except to suggest that IF, even a few of us take these words of King’s to heart, we will know what to do in order to be connected with that sense of love and power that is within. In this connection, we will understand that love and power are two sides of the same coin and they must always remain in that paradoxical state. From this place of inner connection, we will see what our next step is to help solve the problems we face or to begin to manifest the dreams we know should come true. I believe the problems we resonate with and the dreams we desire to manifest are also connected in a way that only the dreamer can understand.
And Rev. Marvin Anderson, Unity Minister said this: “All you need do is take your next step”.
So no matter what problem we are trying to solve, no matter what dream we are trying to manifest, the next step is in fact forming in our consciousness right now. We would not be guided to this or that dream or to this or that problem were it not for the fact that we can begin to solve the problem or manifest the dream and all we need do is:
1. Connect with Love and Power in their state of oneness
2. Identify our next step
3. Take the next step.
