Dodie, you are such a beautiful angel. Your eyes truly tell the truth of who you are. Your big beautiful brown eyes reveal the princess that you are now, always will be and always have been. Your beautiful body was so perfect in this lifetime to carry humans and to carry the love that you brought to earth to give away.
I want to thank you Dodie for teaching me so much about trust and love.
I first met you when my very first horse came to me at Broce Ranch. Dodie you took Harmony and me too, under your wings……(yes, you did have wings on earth and I know they are serving you now.) The way you protected Harmony when she first came to Broce and the loving presence you always were to me Dodie. You epitomized the true meaning of loving friendship.
You blessed Harmony and I and all of the horses at Broce and you did this by being your magnificent self.
Comanche and Avalanche, those beautiful geldings also protected you from new horses on the ranch because they knew who you were: a regal and royal princess of love. You gave love so purely and you also received it.
Dodie, Harmony and I will miss you so very much and I am so sad that your presence will not be here on earth with us. Thank you for being here during this lifetime. You have blessed so many souls including me and my family and all the friends whom I brought to the ranch.
The moment I saw you lay your body down, I had a sense that a horse angel named Filly(whom was my horse companion in Washington), was taking up the glad shout of “here she comes” as we had to say “Adios” to your beautiful earthly body. I am so grateful to know that your soul goes on and thus WHO you truly are goes on forever.
So my precious angel, I join with your Mommy and sisters and pray for your soul on-going now.
In love I pray: knowing and giving thanks that God is love and in love your soul is released to the very presence of the Divine which casts out all fear.
We know you are being set free to begin another grand adventure in living in whatever way your soul guides you. So, Dodie, our true prayer for you is this:
THE LIGHT OF GOD SURROUNDS YOU
THE LOVE OF GOD ENFOLDS YOU
THE POWER OF GOD PROTECTS YOU
THE PRESNCE OF GOD WATCHES OVER YOU,
WHEREVER YOU ARE, GOD IS……
And know my lovely equine sister that I hold these prayers for your family as well……I know your loving heart and soul found it so hard to say good bye and so know that I hold them in prayer for their guidance and comfort during this time of grief. I also hold them in prayer knowing the love you shared will bless them in this time of loss and recovery.
Harmony and I join with your family members and all those whom you touched at Broce and through the language of love, we feel your presence within our hearts and there you will reside.
And now a note from Harmony to you Dodie
Dear Dodie, I acknowledge you as one of those advanced souls that came to earth to teach and bless. I so enjoyed our time with each other. I needed you and you were always there. Your very presence helped me adjust when I moved clear across the country.
It is nice to be with one’s own kind when we have reached such a level of awareness…………….You are indeed a princess of JOY, LOVE LAUGHTER, BEAUTY AND FUN. Dodie as we horses know, I am still with you but I miss you so much already.

Dodie is a 32 year old Thorughbred Mare who was a race horse and then for the last 20 years she was a wonderful horse who carried her owners in love and strength. Dodie, we will miss you so much.
