~ As I listen to the news coverage on the shooting of 9 innocent people while in a Bible Study in Charleston, SC, I was struck by what one of the citizens of Charleston told her children as they were heading off to Summer Camp. She said, the only explanation is that “there’s evil in the world”.
Tragically, it is easy to say this. And, what this does to children is to make them terribly afraid of this evil in the world that we have no power over. I can only imagine what they children thought as their mom dropped them off. Perhaps they thought, ” well we are not safe anywhere”, or “mommy is dropping us off, maybe she thinks the evil won’t be at the camp”, or maybe even, “WHY is mommy dropping us off at the camp, does she not care?”.
Now, I know that a lot of people write these tragic shooting off as something that we are truly victims of and there is nothing we can do about it.
My blog today is to tell you what you can do. First of all, I would direct all people who are willing to do more than just state “There’s evil in the world”, to begin to ask “really where does this evil exist?”.
I would then answer that the evil exists within all of humanity. The evil comes about when we choose to not connect with our sense of Goodness within. Evil results when humans choose to do things that go against their own consciousness. Within everyone is a presence and power of Goodness. Some may call this the Divine Presence within. Some may call it their true nature or higher self. Some may call is the Christ within or one’s sense of right and wrong. As we are willing to connect with our own sense of Goodness and allow our actions to flow from this presence, then evil does not exist. When we disconnect from this, then the human actions can truly be evil or as a result of not choosing to connect with who we are at the core: Good. This is a simple solution but not easy to implement. However, YOU can do this if you resonate with what I am saying. **
One of the reasons, I am a Spiritual Intelligence Coach(see www.deepchange.org), is to help people develop a road map to their own higher self.. The SQ21 does in fact assess a person’s awareness of this Goodness in the world that is within all of creation. This is a very simple statement of what the SQ21 does but I would love to discuss this with you if you are one of the people in the world who is willing to ask, “what can I do”, rather than to state, “There’s evil in the world” and this implies that we are victims to it and there is nothing we can do.
I would love to lead a group in which 12 people would take the SQ21 and then support one another in finding their own unique path to a higher awareness of this Goodness within. We cannot truly find it in another, until we find it within ourselves.
ARE YOU ONE OF THE 12?
