Checklist for Hidden Signs of Anger

CHECKLIST FOR HIDDEN ANGER

 

If we have a national fault, it is hiding our own anger from ourselves. Here is a check list to help you determine if you are hiding  anger

from yourself.      Any of these  is usually a sign of hidden, unexpected anger.

 

  1. Procrastination in the completion of imposed tasks at work.

 

  1. Perpetual or habitual sadness.
  2. A liking for sadistic or ironic humor.

4..   Sarcasm, cynicism or flippancy in conversation.

 

  1. Over-politeness, constant cheerfulness, attitude of “grin and bear “

 

  1. . Frequent outbursts.

 

  1. Smiling while saying something negative.

 

  1. Frequent disturbing or frightening dreams
  2. Over-controlled monotone speaking voice .

 

  1. Boredom, apathy, loss of interest in things you are usually enthusiastic about.

 

  1. Difficulty in getting to sleep .
    1. Slowing down for no reason.

 

  1. Getting tired more easily than before.
  2. Excessive irritability over small things.

 

  1. Getting drowsy at inappropriate times
  2. Sleeping more than usual — over 9 hours is a major sign of anger.

 

  1. Waking up tired rather than rested
  2. Clenched jaws

 

  1. Facial tics, spasmodic foot movements, habitual fist clench­ing, and similar repeated acts done unintentionally.

 

  1. Grinding of the teeth — especially while sleeping
  2. Chronically stiff or sore neck or shoulders
  3. Chronic depression — extended periods of feeling down for no

reason .

 

  1. Stomach issues that never go away.
