IN THE NAME OF LOVE, ESPECIALLY DIVINE LOVE
Humans do terrible things………….Because they are choosing to let the Lizard brain control them(the lizard brain is the old brain, the part that forces us into fight, flight or freeze)

Humans can choose to do………THE RIGHT THING……..
Humans can choose to operate from …THE WIZARD BRAIN…………( our neo-cortex that teaches we are one and truly learning to live from the wizard brain is the only was we will survive)
I know that Jesus was operating from the Wizard Brain.
In his prayer, THE LORD’S PRAYER, HE SAID:
OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN
Why did he say: “OUR”
Jesus knew of our oneness
Jesus knew that we must come to this awareness if we humans are going to survive.
He taught that Kingdom of Heaven is within and because of this, there is a way**
that is beyond fear, flight and freezing…….
There is a way that will enable all of us to survive.
I was surprised to hear someone that I thought was beyond choosing to live from the Wizard brain tell me that “Donald Trump is right, we should just go bomb the hell out of them; my kids are afraid right now and I hate this”.
To say the least I was shocked to hear this coming out of the mouth of this person.
Donald Trump’s message is appealing to that lizard brain. Sure it may seem easier to “just bomb the hell out of them”.
And surely, we can all see that “bombing the hell out of them” did not work based on our experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, etc, etc.
The Wizard brain teaches us to go beyond what is easy, teaches us to go beyond what makes us feel better than, teaches us to go beyond saying that ” my tribe is better than your tribe”.
The way that Jesus taught was expressed beautifully by
a Catholic Priest here in the Denver area.
I was at a memorial service for a dear friend’s father.
I had not been to a Catholic service for many years.
When this priest spoke of Jesus’ words; when he said:
No one comes to the father except through me, I knew these words were what Catholics believe. But then, he began to speak of what he believes about what Jesus meant and he went on to describe how Jesus’ way
was of
LOVE,
Compassion and
Caring
He reminded us of this passage from the bible:
Matthew 25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
As this priest spoke, As Jesus spoke, so are we to speak.
All wise and great spiritual teachers have taught this truth.
And, these wise and great spiritual teachers are calling all of us WHO ARE WILLING TO SEE AND HEAR AND ACT FROM THE WIZARD BRAIN, THEY ARE CALLING US NOW
THIS IS OUR LIFE, IT IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL
The time is now
Are we going to live from the lizard brain as trump is suggesting
or are we going to live from the Wizard brain as Jesus taught.
It is up to each one of us
It is up to you and the world is calling YOU to do what you can now
There is something you can do, that you must do
LISTEN AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IS YOURS TO DO
It may be, being willing to do your part to heal the rift between you and your sibling( even if they are unwilling, only do your part)
It may be choosing to love yourself fully by doing what makes your soul sing
Whatever is your next step in living from the Wizard brain, you know what it is
ARE YOU WILLING TO LIVE FROM LOVE THAT COMES FROM THE HIGHER SELF OR
TO LIVE FROM FEAR THAT ONLY DIVIDES.
YOU HAVE A CHOICE
