I am continuing this series on Learning to Love yourself by meeting your needs in 5 areas. Please see the previous 4 blogs before you read this one.
Today, I am talking about loving yourself by meeting your needs in the Physical arena. For some this may be the hardest arena because it means you have to slow and take time for your body. It means that you learn to feed your body nutritious food, it means that you move your body in ways that keep it active and limber. It means that you don’t over-function and over-give. It means that you look at yourself, your body in love and not allow the inner critic to make you think you are less than.
The truth is our bodies are so truly amazing. Some say they are the living temple of our spirit. No matter what you call your physical self, it is truly a work of art.
So today, I am simply saying that your body is calling out to you to love it. It listens to every thought you think, every feeling you have as a result of these thoughts and it manifests how you feel about it.
I am not going to discuss diets and exercise. You know how you are treating yourself in this area. However, I am going to ask you take the very next step in loving yourself by simply taking a week to ask your body what it needs more of and less of. Keep a journal about what answers your body is giving you. Then, find support to take a tiny action in each area. When we take one small step, we then will see the next step and so on and so forth. Your body out-pictures how you feel about you. I ask you to begin now to love your body in tiny ways and soon you will be on the road to loving yourself in this arena. It simply begin with willingness to do what is right for your body. I know that you have some idea of what to do.
I join with you in a classic Unity prayer about your body; and this affirmation can be used by you right now.
The prayer: I AM A RADIANT CENTER OF DIVINE LOVE, POWER, STRENGTH AND VITALITY. MY HIGHEST GUIDANCE TELLS ME WHAT TO DO EXPERIENCE, HEALTH, WHOLENESS AND PROSPERITY IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE.
